then i would def have my blog taken away from me, i've abused the poor little thing for so long!!!

hello guys, i'm baaaack! well actually, that's wrong in so many senses...

i've been back, in england, for just over a week now, LA was the most amazing time of my ENTIRE life! but even better, whilst i was there i got a call saying i had been accepted to the university that i desperately wanted to go to! so when i got home from LA, two days later i moved down to university! its been a whirlwind to say the least!

i now live in a very lovely house with three other people, two guys and a girl, they are all lovely, the house is nice and tidy, my room has been turned into a lovely little room with flowers and pinkkkkkk everywhere, one problem, the cute little house doesnt have the internet yet. boo.

so i havent been able to blog until today because i just popped home (2hour drive..boo) to get some more of my clothes and stuff, not going to back here for a while unfortunately after this.

along with LA, the last three weeks have positively been the best 3weeks of my life! LA was amazing, spent alot of time with my family, partied at all the hottest hollywood clubs, i even met some famous faces along the way... and uni, well its totally not as glamourous as hollywood, but hey, party every night, recover everyday and go back out and do it all again! met so many cool friends its just fabulous! i love it!

i hope you're all marvelous and happy and just loving life... i will be back to blogging regularly as soon as i get the internet at my little uni house, so please bare with me until then my lovelies.

I Love L.A

man this place is so beautiful.
i'm staying with my cousin in this place called mar ina del ray, it's soooooooo nice.

yesterday was my first real day, we went to santa monica and hit 3rd street, the shopping is good down there. i spent loads of money already. oops.
i got a cool run dmc top! a lace top. a plaid shirt. and the sexiest leather jacket everrrrr.
all for under $150!

i had theee yummiest johnny rockets mocha fudge milkshake also. yumm. man i missed those things.

after that we went to get some groceries haha.

jetlagged- well thats an understatement, i am soooo tired all the time its really not cool. im trying to get some sort of a pattern back but its soooo not happening! so i had an afternoon nap which was niiiiice.

then for the best part of my day we went into hollywood and went to a really cool club! :)
got home went to sleep the end.

AS you may know by now, I'm off to Los Angeles. What you may not know however is that I am off to L.A in 7hours! I have to be up to leave for the airport in only 2hours however I haven't even had a wink of sleep yet! I'm too excited what can I say?!

So after all of my scouting around trying to find the best places to go/see/visit whilst I would be in the city I thought I would compile a list of all the things I plan on doing whilst I'm there.

So I've been rushed off my feet with preparations for California andseeing my family and just general shizz nizz. I went to Brighton on thursday night which was fabulous, I'll upload a pic of my outfit later. Friday was filled with recovering from the night before, and I went to the pub for a drink with my dad, which was nice.

I'm really excited about California, only 2days until I leave. I shall try and get some posts together for the blog before I leave, but my cousins and aunts have computer access so I can always blog whilst I'm out there, and I'll take my camera leads so I can even upload some pics too.

I'm going on another date tonight, have no idea what I'm going to wear as quite alot of my clothes are packed for my trip already!

OH. And this is quite important, not life changing to any of you however, but, I've decided that I am not going to university this year, the uni that I was going to go to was rubbish-y and I knew I could do better so its all good, I am just going to reapply to the ones that I wanted to go to, for next years entry. It was a tough decision to make by myself, you know I didn't want to disappoint my parents etc... but it'll all be ok!

Need to find a job now! Uh-oh.

WOW I finally fit into these Jeans!

After having them for a year now I can finally wear them without the fear that they are going rip or any buttons pop off!

I got them from Charlotte Russe last year when I was in L.A, these were the last pair in the shop and I loved them so much that I didnt care whether they fit me or not! So i was determined to make myself fit into them.

Well I completely forgot about them and left them in the bottom of my jean drawer, and after my vigorous exercise regime I've been enduring lately, when I found them this morning I just had to see how they fit!

I'm wearing them with an Urban Outfitters tee, and New Look heels. Oh an of course my beloved trilby that I am getting more attached to by the day!

Anyway back to my first point. this is my 100th post on Grey Pavement Regular.

Looking back on when I started this blog, oh boy how I was in experienced, the blog started off as Moon Faces, I got the idea because the moon has many faces apparently, as does life. Well haven't I learnt that this year! We then progressed on to GreyPave.... as another moon face blog came on to the scene, I thought hey I'll move over, maybe this is a chance for my blog to go in another direction.

Grey Pavement Regular is pretty self explanatory really. It documents my life in the humdrum world of being a normal teenager, walking the grey pavements day after day, and not the red carpets like some of our most favourite idols.

I've been through alot this year accompanied by this blog, I've had some of the hardest exams, some of the most testing relationships, I've learnt how much it hurts to be loved (I luckily haven't felt the pain of loving someone yet), I've learnt how to grow up quickly, and most importantly I've learnt how to dress more stylishly, and how to love myself in the skin I'm in. I've learnt a bloody lot basically!

Thank you to all you other bloggers out there who give me inspiration daily, and thank YOU for reading my blog, it means an awful lot to know that someone actually cares about the things I have to say, and that I might even remotely entertain you.

Here's to many more posts together.

So I didn't fall in love with hairbands when Blair Waldorf stormed onto the scene with her cute little Chanel style. But what I did fall in love with was Pixie Lott's hairband when she performed at the V festival this weekend. I think she looked the epitome of cool with her long blonde hair flowing out from a flowered headband. Now my problem... I have a bob, no cool long flowy wavey locks flowing from under my headbands....

An AV-update: So this weekend I had my last night at work, I actually have a whole weekend off before I jet off to LA in 8DAYS! I'm going to Brighton on Thursday with a few of my friends, hit some clubs in celebration of my cousins 19th Birthday (a few days early because I'm missing her birthday- for the second year in a row! oops!), then friday and saturday will be going with the flow!

But before all that, I am going to London tomorrow with my mother to view the apartment that I am moving into when I get back from California. We're going to check out the local area, figure out all my routes to uni, shops, pubs etc...

Wowzers. Just wow.

So much has happened in a space of 48hours! I went on my hot date, which was perrrrrfect. And then, I got my results!

I got a B in Media Studies (YAY), in Government and Politics I got a C, then in English Lit I sadly got a D, but that doesn't matter, is still a pass at the end of the day!

But the even bigger news of the day is..... drum roll please....... I'M MOVING TO LONDON!!!!!!!

I got into London Metropolitan University, to do a joint degree in Public Relations and Event Management!! I return from L.A on the 16th September and then move to uni pretty much straight away! Its going to be an amaaaaazing year!

...Is fast approaching!

Tomorrow I get my A-Level results, it completely determines where I go to university, where I live, and maybe more importantly; what country I'm going to live in!

I found a quote on Snippets of Wisdom, that really made me feel not more confident about my results because what is done is done and I can't change that now, but it made me feel more confident about how to cope with the already done stuff....

"Failure is not an option- because it doesn’t exist. Failure is just one critical step on the path to success. You can start over any time you choose, no matter what mistakes you made in the past. You can change anything with a new attitude and new mindset. Winners know that it’s the comeback that counts."

Good luck with any of you getting your results tomorrow, and if they aren't what you expected or hoped for then honestly, it isn't the end of the world. You should take every crossroads that you come to in your life as an opportunity for reinvention of the self and to start a new road to your success!

Other news in my life, I have a hot date tonight, tables booked for 8:30 and that is all I know right now! I'm nervously excited........

Emily is doing fabulously, everytime I see her I go weak on the insides, who knew a teeny tiny baby could do that to you? I miss her when I'm not with her and when I am I hold her as tight as possible (without being cruel obviously!) My whole family is completely infatuated with her <3

Well have a lovely day and what not, the sun is shining here, I can here my mum blasting Michael Jackson downstairs (she's obsessed), I am gonna go to the gym, and just be happy today. So you have no reason not to SMILE :) XO

I hope you like the pics, we raised overall nearly £1000, had 4 newspapers feature stories on the show and most importantly, we had the most fabulous experience organising all this. I am so thankful to everyone who helped us make the show such a success x

Jasmin & I, just before the show, we were quickly grabbed by our great friend and fabulous photographer Lily to get a snap of us. Oh boy were we busy, but we had such a great time.

There was a champagne and strawberry reception but we grabbed a few glasses to give the models some courage before the show ;)

One of our fabulous models being made up by our equally as fabulous Benefit make up ladies, so so many people kindly donated their own time to help us out with the fashion show. I am so thankful to them for helping us to make it such a success.

Another one of our beautiful models having her make up done for the big show! They looked so beautiful, I was so proud of them, I quickly caught like 10 seconds of the catwalk show and a tear fell down my cheek. Quite sad really!

busy bee week

Well well well, where to start....

It has been one of the busiest weeks of my life, and oh boy did I pay for it.

The fashion show was a fabulous success! It was a crazy day, I hadn't eaten for nearly 4days so I was shattered, but I got through it, and had an amazing time, it is a great experience to put in my portfolio which I will be readily showing around! I will post some pictures of the event very soon. Oh and by the way, we raised nearly £1000! How incredible is that for two 18 year old first time event planners........

After the event I was drained, went to stay at my dads for a few days (minus laptop), oh and the amazing happened, I got tonsillitis again! This post HERE only in June was when I last had it :(

So laptop-less, bacteria riddled, bored bored bored, I've been watching a lot of films, a lot of Hills, and lots of thinking about my trip to L.A.... (ONLY 20DAYS!)

Feeling completely better now about love, life and my impending A-Level results on thursday, me and my mother had a heart to heart about my future, we visited my potential university yesterday, was a lot of fun, road trip with my mum.

Anywho will get the pics up as soon as possible.

I feel like I'm in a tropical paradise. I'm free, as a bird. I'm swimming in a pool of crystal clear blue water. I'm bathing in the rays of golden glowing sunshine.

The fashion show is coming up very fast 4days until its all over. I'm trying to make sure I think of this as fun, and not getting stressed, but lets just say its hard...

L.A is coming up just as quickly, only 30days until I'm on that aeroplane, all by myself, setting off on this big adventure, of fun, shopping, and getting that one step closer to fulfulling my dreams.

Another big date that is coming up is my A-Level results day. The 20th August, I basically get told whether I am allowed to go to university do to the course of my choice at the places that I want to.... Its a day I've been dreading for pretty much the last two years, and its coming and theres definitely no escaping it. Its going to be one of those moments where you really realise how hard you have to work to get what you want in life.

Sorry for my philosophical rant there. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Here are some pics from my amazing trip to California last year to visit my family. AND GUESS WHAT! I'M GOING BACK!

Since I was a little girl I always dreamed of living in America, then my mum got married and my step fathers family all live in America. So now I have a free place to stay any time I can afford a plane ticket to California.

I'm so excited about the trip this year though! I've had a stressful year, what with college, my exams, breakups, hook ups, more breakups. Its just been chaos!

I'm heading to LAX on the 1st of September, my flight lands at approx 14:35 in the afternoon. And guys I'm so excited. On my old blog I posted the run up and how excited I was, as I don't hav that blog anymore i'll just have to do it on here instead! There will be a countdown, all my feelings and all my preparations, after all, this is what this blog is all about, my mission to get out of England and into warmer climates with endless opportunites.

I finally managed to get a night off from working in the club, and got the chance to go out last week with my best friends, I had a fabulous night and the best part was I knew it was a good night because I didnt wake up with a hangover. (Most people would say its the other way round- but I'm a terrible drunk haha)....

So after a long long week, and a break from blogging, as of today I'm BACK! To blog blog away.

A quick recap of whats being going on in my life....

I had a pretty hair cut.
Been busy organising the fashion show for the Phillip Green Memorial Trust, wow its hard work!
I went to Oxford Street, London and hit Topshop. Yummy.
My mum went on holiday and is now back, so I can once again eat nutritional meals. Phew.
Jazzy got her new Beetle, its called Bam Bam! So we've been driving around in that.
I got tonnes of new clothes so I've had lots of fun this week having soooo much choice! LOVE. Some outfit posts may well follow. So keep your eyes peeled!

WOW. I'm organizing a fashion show.

Yep you did read it right! I am so nervous, but this will work and be amazing! I'm doing it for/with my bestie, Jaz. She is a finalist for the Miss Teen Queen UK 2009 competition! In the competition there is a section where you have to raise funds for a charitable organization called the Phillip Green Memorial Trust, which help disabled children to lead a normal life. So I am putting my PR skills in to practice, (ok I have none so far but hey this is what I am going to uni to study so hopefully I shall do a good job!)

The Manager of the nightclub where I work has agreed to let me have one of the rooms called ENVY, for the night for FREE! How incredible is that!! So hopefully it will be a success, we have a lot to do considering it is going to be taking place in under a months time!!

I am currently looking for clothing boutiques and stores to either lend us a few garments or donate one garment, which will then be showcased on the catwalk, and if donated will be auctioned off at the end. What do you guys think? I also need to create a logo sort thing to be a letterhead for all of our correspondence, as we are going to be very busy bees these next few weeks travelling around and having interviews with shop buyers, managers and potential sponsors!

If you are creative and fancy trying to create a logo then email me and I will give you the deets and requirements. Anyone who attempts this will be my best friend forever :)

You know when you can't stop thinking about someone, and you're constantly wondering if they are thinking about you? Man I hate that.

Work was horrid last night, I just wanted to go home the whole time. Shortie woke me up this morning, LIVID! only had 5hours sleep. Going to the cinema with Tash to see My Sisters Keeper this afternoon, I'm writing myself a memo to not overload on the mascara and eyeliner!!!

I really wish I were happier right now, so this film probably isn't the best idea! I am really depressed that I am not going away on holiday, every year for the past 15years I have been on holiday, sometimes upto three holidays a year- yes that is quite priviledged, but that's what you get when you divorced parents and two families, and this year I'm not even going on one! So Scotland is my only 'get-away', yay.

I'm really upset about the friends situation also, you know you have those friends that you thought you were tight with but leave it all down to you to maintain the relationship? ....

If you've read the blog before, you'll know I am going to university in September, and one of my main concerns is my living arrangements, so I thought it would be a good idea to search for some quirky bits and bobs to put in my new uni room, and where better to go than Urban Outfitters.... this is what I found...

These cute letters can be placed on the wall to create any word you want... (£5 per letter, various colours available...)

So, I was watching one of my favourite films of all time Speed, starring the beautiful Sandra Bullock and delicious Keanu Reeves, and one scene in particular stuck out to me.... Bullock's character, Annie, says that relationships that are based on a crisis situation never work out.

Annie: You're not going to get mushy on me, are you?
Jack: Maybe. I might.
Annie: I hope not, 'cause you know, relationships that start under intense circumstances, they never last.

I've never been in the situation of a hostage bus about to blow up but, these people seem to know what they are talking about....

These snakeskin shoes are from Primark £15, bargain. Went to LDN yesterday, didnt go near Oxford street. It was oh so hot plus the amount of people in that area would have just made it feel a hundred times hotter. Hit a few other shops such as Urban Outfitters...

Got a cute top and skirt/short (called skorts right?), aswell as a leopard print vest which only came to £30 in the sale. Happy days.

I love one shouldered/off the shoulder tops so this one is really cool as the sleeve is HUGE!

Gonna wear it tucked into skirts, high waisted shorts and also pair it with skinnies and killer heels. Yes?

There's nothing better than healing the heart with some delicious cookie dough Ben and Jerry's. I watched a trillion films, bought lots of clothes online, i worked and got drunk after, i screamed when i got mad, i laughed when something was funny, and i hugged my friend who comforted me. Overall, everything you need after a break up.

So today is a new day, the start of a new week, and the start of a new chapter in my life.

I booked a flight to Scotland to see my best friend in Aberdeen. Whilst it doesnt exactly sound like the craziest place, every second spent with S is hilarious. I can't wait to see her, it's been toooo long.

I'm going to LDN (london) tomorrow with my pal, should be fun, however i'm slowly rinsing all my summer saving and i'm only on week 2 out of 17. Going to have to get some more work shifts if i plan on maintaining this horrendous (but beautiful) shopping habit.

Last week was a sad week, the passing of the two Icons, Charlies Angels beauty, Farrah Fawcett and King of Pop, Michael Jackson, were both extremely upsetting for many. My thoughts are with their families. R.I.P. x

My new obssession is ice cream and ice pops. I had these delicious mango smoothie ice lollies and they were theeee best! they nearly beat nobbly bobbly's in the taste stakes. However Cookie Dough remains my number one is the ice cream tub charts. haha.

I also started to DIY my blazer jacket, putting studs onto the lapels (is that what they are called? :S ) however its proving to be tricky, and takes ages! OH AND i broke two nails doing it, which is rather annoying!

It's so hot in England (well my part anyway) right now, i'm sitting in my room with my fan on as its just too hot outside! Listening to a bit of George Michael, how brilliant.

why do we feel we NEED a man in our lives to make us complete?

numb. together for nearly a year, only one little break up in between, this time its for good.

we're both going to uni this year, he's off on a boys holiday this summer. its for the best.

now i feel like i'm a changed person, not the same girl i was before, and not for the better.

i don't mean that in a nasty way, just an 'i'm gonna get over it in the end' way.

uni is a huge weight on my shoulders right now, i can't get it off of my mind. drilling like a massive hole in my brain.

other than that, i've finished college forever now, have three months off until uni in september (which right now, i have no idea where i'm going).

i'm gonna be doing some work at my step fathers businesses for the summer, saving some money for uni. even though i will probably blow it on clothes.

anyway, i'm out.

So.... once upon a time there was a young girl, she was happy, and bright and had AMAZING fashion sense (joke), she had one problem however, her tonsils hated her.
Whilst growing up there would be days where her tonsils were riddled with bacteria (how gross).

The moral of the story, yesterday was one of those days for me.

I was completely disabled, I couldn't talk, walk, eat and when I woke up I couldn't breathe. It was horrid. All because of two little lumps at the back of my throat. What are the point of tonsils anyway if you can have them removed??!?!!?!?!?!

POINTLESS!!!

My main problem was the lack of food, all I could manage was a milkshake, my mum made sure it was the most fattening one she could find I think. And when I have a lack of food, I get grotty... very grotty, and because I was ill, I was just so weak.

Watched Slumdog Millionaire. It was good. I still think The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was better though.

Felt a little bit better today and ventured out in my Mummys new car (its a convertible!!!) to Starbucks. I have never savoured a frappacino so much!

This is pretty much an exact version of the outfit I wore today, the only thing different is the bag and love ring!

You know when you have that gut instinct, and the saddest thing is you know that its hurting you more to stay where you are than it would to leave?

I honestly don't need this right now at this time, I'm doing the most important exams in my life and a guy is making me go nuts. This isn't right. Who said my life should be ruled around a man?

I watched Sex and the City again today, and fell in love again, with all the wonderful clothes. I have particularly started obsessing over studded belts, like the one that Carrie wears like all the time through out the movie. So anyway I started my hunt and this is what I found....

I thought how perfect would all these belts go with this beautiful dress from brownsfashion.com at only £160....

My fave belt there is the one in the bottom left corner, black suede studded belt from ASOS, only £15. Can't wait till I get some money so I can go on a shop shop shoppy spree. (I'm going to label this as a holiday investment- I said I would not spend anymore money now unless its for holiday....)

Hello, thought I had abandoned you ey? Well I'm really sorry for the lack of love but I've been being a really good girl revising and what not for these extremely important exams coming up. So please, I beg, forgive me :)
Well I haven't got much today apart from this hilarious set of illustrations entitled 'I love you but..' I selected a few of my fave to show you, but to view the whole picture book go HERE.

'I love you but...' is a hilarious project by Alex Holder and Ross Neil, who made this picture book about the moment in a relationshop where you realise you don't love someone completely, because there is one little thing that keeps bothering you. When it bothers you so much it actually makes you physically cringe, you know it's time to say; 'I love you but...'.

I am so sorry that I have been so incredbly lame and not posted for a few days, it has been very hectic for me....

-weds: a spot of shopping early AM, then revision all day at the LRC (college library), and then BRITNEY (who was fab-even though she didn't sing live)

-thurs: Revision all day at the LRC, then out with a gal pal for a few drinks

-fri: Revision all day at the LRC, then work in the evening.

-plans for today: to update you lovelies with some happy happenings (such as my new purchases), revise some more (I'm retaking an exam on World War I literature, it's truely fascinating), see the friendboy and then work again tonight. Tomorrow no doubt will probably just be all revision. BOOOOOO.

Right now I'm just looking at car insurance and BLOOODY BLIMEY! It's so expensive, I currently pay a ridiculous amount a month, but once I have my own car I will be paying an even more ridiculous amount, which quite frankly I cannot afford.

Oh isn't life even more interesting when you don't have a lot of money.

I hate cooking, but when my mum gave me the recipe for her delicious (and locally famous- amongst my friends and family anyway)Peanut Butter Choc Chip cookies, I couldn't resist! What better idea than to learn to make something so homely and delicious that I could do when I go to uni. Remind me of home in a good way...

Top pic, my cool old scales (I'm fully aware that they are not cool, just old). Mid baking. End product. YUM YUM YUM. They didn't last very long at all! (And by the way I didnt just make 6, I made about 20 haha.)

So how was your day? I did a hardcore 7 hour revision session in the Library at my college, it was tiring and boring, but it'll be worth it in the end.

Eurgh and tonight was really boring aswell. J (la friendboy) went back to his place in Oxford for a few days on Sunday night until Thursday, its normally the second or third day that he's away that it hits me, and ta-dah, like clockwork I'm missing him today. So it was dinner for one tonight, and seeing as (like I've already said) I hate cooking, I just has some delish Chicken Soup [WHICH IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL] with some crusty yummy bread. I hope that isn't too calorific! Moving on to....

....Me toning up. Myself and J are going on holiday! To Spain for a week. It's quite last minute we're going in three weeks time and it should be pretty fab, it's going to be our first holiday away together and I can't wait. However this does me a lot of clothes have to be bought and getting slim. We're going to his apartment in Spain, and the thing is, his friend and girlfriend live out there.

The problem: She's an ex UNDERWEAR MODEL.

That can only mean one thing, I either don't go, or I tone up and match (in my mind) her assests etc.... So here comes healthy eating/ living plan. Walking more places (I walked a journey I'd normally get the bus today), eating less and only when I'm hungry, eating healthy when I am hungry/ I need to make a thin-spiration board (OK DEF NOT one of those weird anorexia ones where all the people on it have bones sticking out, just healthy toned women on mine, thank you very much!) Anyway just thinking about being shown up by the side of the pool by a cool 20 year old something just makes me lose my appetite so hey, I should just keep thinking that and I'll be slim in noooo time!!

Oh please excuse the shocking quality of these two pictures, they are not good photos in every way shape and form! But I was quite liking this outfit so I had to take a pic for you guys to tell me what you thought of it. I wore it out when I went to the pub for drinkys with my boyfriend, I had doubts whether it was too casual for drinks...?

The cardigan is from Zara about two years ago, the dress I bought from the British Heart Foundation charity shop, about 10 sizes too big and it was knee length when I bought it! I altered it to make something a bit cuter for outfits like this... The tan belt and tan shoes are both from Primark.

It's been a really lovely day today in England, I even managed to squeeze in a little bit of sunbathing (and got a bit of colour to my lily skin!)

Oh yes, before I forget to mention, you may have seen the three sets of photos from two lovely ladies called Lois Catterall and Georgia Russell, they are two girls who attended the same college as me and I thought it would be cool to feature some of their work here on Grey Pavement Regular, the point of this blog is to just stress the normality of my life, but trying to inject a little bit of glamour into my life, and these two ladies definately do this in their photo shoots. So I'm going to continue theses little posts with photos by some photographer friends I have. If you like them, I'll seek out some more from that particular person :)

It's one of my best friends birthday today, she turned 18 :)
She's officially a 'big girl' now, like me; apparently. (pssscht to growing up)
We went to Brighton, did some shopping, had a spot of lunch (at the good old Golden Arches) and she got a tattoo!! She got a really cute little butterfly underneath her boob! She was in some pain thought! So I don't envy her at all, although I desperately want one....

So what did you get upto today? We saw some really cool graffiti, I took some pics for you to see :) (sorry about the quality I took them on my Blackberry...)

Have a good evening, I'm out clubbing (eurgh that word sounds horrendous) and what's worse is I'm going to the club where I work. Not cool. Anywhooooo, take care.

Style obsession...

My current style OBSESSION is with Ashley Olsen! One half of the amazingly beautiful and stylish Olsen twins, I personally feel that Ashley is almost ...cleaner(?) if thats the right word, she has an air of sophistication that I don't see about Mary-Kate; DO NOT GET ME WRONG I LOVE MK's STYLE! But I just think Ashley is more... me :)

This is my favourite look out of the pics I chose for today. The simplicity of this look is what makes it rock for me, the way her hair is scraped but with the sunglasses. The oversized scarf and top with the skinnies and boots. I love everything and would be eternally grateful if I were given this outfit haha. Outfit number two, again is very simple yet sooooo chic! I love the oversized bag, ripped jeans and flats. This outfit would be very simple to re-create. Me likey.

Outfit number three again simplicity is the key, a fur coat with leggings and a pair of killer wedges all come together perfectly for Ashley. Adoring her style more and more by the second.

This fourth outfit rocks because of the booties we see again the oversized bag with skinny ripped jeans, but the boots are incredible. Yes please. Lets see if the closet angels could do their magic and let these boots appear there tomorrow!

This final outfit I just wanted to get a picture of to further stress how beautiful and sophisticated Ms Ashley Olsen is, there is no tacky bone in the young lady's body, she is all class and looks a vision in this beautiful The Row gown at the Costume Institue Gala.

EMERGENCY! call the doctor...

SO something completely hideous has happened. After a break up over a month ago, the current busy and stressful exam period and having some unknown illness causing loss of my appetite- I have lost weight.

Whats the big deal I hear you asking? Well.... My beloved high-waisted demin shorts no longer fit me! :(

I'm pretty much devestated... I wear them like all the time and just generally love them. They are a UK size 10, so I'm glad that means that the 8 (that I tried on in the shop and were too tight) but now I'm a pair of hot shorts down. (ASWELL as countless other items that might now fit now.) AH bad times!!!

Moving on to lighter times, I spoke to my best friend on the phone earlier, after what seemed like for agessssss, and she told me some really interesting stories about stuff that has been going on in our group of friends lately (I've been a bit of a social recluse due to revision for exams), and anyway, the amount of gossip is unreal. And some of it isn't cool at all!

I'm also going to apply for a new(old) job... I used to work at this really cool mexican restaurant, but quit because I didnt like my manager, but the manager has left now and they are looking for part time staff so I'm thinking of reapplying! More mohoneys for me for sexy clothes and holidays etccccc...... What are your plans for summer? Holidays? No holiday?

I cannot stop thinking about going to uinversity these last few days. Even though I am not going until the end of September, I'm just really dreading it. I think I want to keep this blog going though because at least then, when I move away, 5 hours from home, at least this environment that I know and love will still be the same as long as I have my trusty lappytop with me :)

Moving out of home for the first time is soooo daunting, how old were you guys when you first did? Or do you still live at home? Did any of you get really homesick when you went to uni? Any answers to these questions would be a delighful help.

So I thought what way to make myself feel even more homesick? I know I'll do a post on things that I'll miss from home...

I'll miss the way my pussycat licks my hair to wake me up in the morning to feed him; I'll miss the beautiful sun shining through my curtains, reflecting off the crystals hanging at my window; I'll miss the sound of my mum hoovering outside my door on a bright summer morning; I'll miss the way the postman is never ever early so you have to wait around half the day for your important mail; I'll miss my best friend who is going to still be here in this same town whilst I'm away up there; I'll miss the massive wardrobe and all the storage I have in my boudoir; I'll miss half of the clothes and shoes that I wont be able to take to university with me; I'll miss the five minute walk to my nan and grandads to talk about them hating eachother in the 60s because they were mods and rockers and then telling me how they fell in love; I'll miss waking up to the smell of my mum's delicious peanut butter cookies; I'll miss the way the the little children knock on my front door saying "my balls in your garden can you throw it over please"; I'll miss the familiarity of the people whom I have seen everyday for the last 18 years in the road where I live; I'll miss the friendly shop keeper who always says hi to me when I buy my fashion mags; I'll miss the friendly lady bus driver who always asks me how I am (even though I rarely see her anymore anyway as I passed my driving test); I'll miss the closesness to Brighton Pier and the fabulous shopping in the Laines; but most of all, I'll miss my mum, my best friend and protector for the last 18 years. Now I'm off to fend for myself.

Anyway, have a nice day. After the long weekend revision starts again for me, I have some VERY important exams coming up, so I have a feeling I'll be popping by alot to give myself a break from it all.

If anyone has any tips about moving away from home, or tips to not worry about doing such a thing, or any sort of advice they can give me to stop panicing about this whole shabang, then please- don't hesitate to comment lol.

Good morning life, good morning love.

Today I woke up to the birds chirping, the sun shining. I think its going to be a good day... I hope :)
Its my little cousins birthday today, so I am going to a family shin-dig, hopefully I can take some pics, I looked uber chic last night in skinny jeans, chiffon top and tan wedge heels, but I'm afraid- no pics of the outfit, but I did get some pics of my pals.
Had a really good time at the bbq actually!

I took some pictures of my little pussy cat the other day, and I just wanted to share them with you...

This is his little meerkat tail, he broke the tip along time ago and I think it is sooo cute. Adds character!

Ooo, I went to see Girls Aloud in concert last night, it was rather fabulous, however I did get rather tipsy, also I went to a restaurant called 'Zizzi', it was delicious. I think it may just be an English chain though, so sorry to all of you not in the 'lovely' land of Eng. Im in a really annoying mood right now, can you tell? I think I'm just extremely bored. Oh and if you know of any blog or site that is about or has posts about DIY-ing your clothes, then link me please. I have finished college now, so I have a lot of spare time on my hands, and what better way to spend it than making my clothes look fab?

Anyway, what are you upto this evening? It's bank holiday Monday tomorrow here in England, so its like another Saturday night for me, aren't I lucky. I am going to a bbq I think, which will be nice... I shall take some photographs. (Maybe- that isn't a promise, we know how rubbish I am at keeping those.)

a rubbish blogger, but i persist, never give up, always try. i have lots of facebook friends, but in reality where are you? i cry at fiction, but immune to crying at fact. i love my mum, but she drives me insane. i begged for a sewing machine for ages, got one for my birthday and have only had the time to use it twice in 4months. i like feeling loved, don't judge me its just who i am. i am scared about going to university, 5 hours away from home, all alone. i can't cook, and i don't try to either. i say i don't drink alcohol, but at every social event a glass appears in my hand. i have over a hundred handbags, yet use the same two all week long. i have eyes that people compliment on all the time, i like my eyes too thank you. i am not in love with my boyfriend, how can i tell him that without breaking his heart? i can take pain, but don't like to. i have a 'pretty' face, but have never felt uglier. i want a body covered in tattoo's but no where near cool enough. i wear glasses and have an inhaler, which i think are two requirements of being a nerd. i read alot of books, requirment number three i do believe. i am a fashion addict but sometimes you would not think so. i am not what you would expect, from the moment you see me to the second i open my mouth, you will be shocked about your pre-judgings. i feel i am too immature for my 18 years, then other times act like i'm 80. i am addicted to fruit pastilles, they should give me shares in rowntree. i don't know why i'm writing this, but i hope someone reads it and tells me i'm normal. Overall, i am a beautiful contradiction...

If you were lucky enough to get down to H&M's flagship store in Oxford street last month then you would have been able to buy this beautiful peacock pendant for only £14.99.

Personally I think Mr Williamson is crazy! I would have paid alot more for something so hot!

...To the newish blog, you may notice the difference in URL, colours, and title... and hopefully after we get into the swing of things you may also notice the change of direction in post topics!

I have literally been non-stop lately, May and June are always busy months for me as I'm still at college, but this year especially as I am doing my exams to get into university. BIG important stuff!

I have recently rocked some hot outfits, but each time forgotten to take a picture for you all to see! I suck at this game!

Also I have some questions for you genius bloggers out there, if you could help me with a few answers that would be excellent!...

1. What programme do you use to edit your photographs?

2. How did you build up your large reading audience?

3. Any ideas or design ideas for my blog header? I can't seem to do one because I'm using only paint to create any header images.

...Any answers to those questions would be fabulous help!

My week this week was hectic, I had college 5 days, and then went out on wednesday night, got a tad drunk and paid for it the next day!

According to MSN today, Lily Allen went on a rant about two of my fashion idols, Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham branding Cheryl as "stupid, superficial, as ugly outside as inside." and Victoria as a "monster".

Now, I'm no genius, but who is the one that goes around promoting themselves as superficial and a monster? Not the two WAGS thats for sure.

I don't dislike Lily Allen, but I do think that the woman goes around looking for fights, and loves to make enemies. And that my friends is NOT COOL. do you agree?

I thought I should represent Lily Allens personality with a picture. Funnily enough it is a picture of herself! The pic was taken at the Glamour Awards. Ok where shall I start? With the hideous bubblegum pink hair or that freakin awful dress????????? I'm sorry but who would design a dress with dying deer on it?! Some people are a bit twisted.

After alot of soul searching, and racking my brains about the direction in which this blog is going in... I figured that what we need is a theme.

(Which right now we do not have....)

So I'm kinda gonna go with the theme of my old blog on which I just didn't care about what I was saying and spilled my guts to the world (ok not quite the world considering no one read it)... but anyway...

The new blog (this blog) is going to be changed to 'A Grey Pavement Regular' (URL will hopefully be something along the lines of greypavementregular.blogspot.com). The idea came from my love of Red Carpet Fashion Awards, I am not like any of those fabulous ladies featured on that blog, I do not have the money or the clothing to look that great, so furthermore inspired by Fashion Under $100 I decided I will make my new blog fashion-y, but at real prices, mixed with my Grey Pavement lifestyle, and what I aspire to achieve and become.

The new blog will be hitting your computer screens in the next week or so. I will become dedicated. And we will expand the blog. Whilst I am preparing everything however I will contine to upload my random shizz. So have no fear.

(I wish they did blogging tutorials or something... OOoo maybe they do. I will def have to look into that.)

Overall I was pleased with my purchases! Ive worn each one already, I'm terrible like that, I buy something then HAVE to wear it asap! Will be posting some pictures of the outfits that I wore them with.

My friend STILL hasn't sent me the shots of the outfits inspired by the other ladies in the post from last week! So sorry for keeping you waiting!

I just tried to upload you lovelies some pics of a project that I did, I bought this floral dress from a charity shop and altered it to make it lovelyyyyyy and floraly for me to wear.

However the images aren't uploading so I shall attempt it again tomorrow.

Trying to find my own style (with inspiration from friends) and become as fabulous as I can be.

Use the sewing maching I got for my birthday properly, speak fluent spanish, write an A grade essay, and go for the right kinda guys for me.

Well I never have enough coats or jackets for the winter and I hate how summer means showing your legs, so I'm going to go with spring, quite boring in the fashion world but comfortable for me and accessible weather to try out new trends.

Well I've had this plan since I was like 14 that by the time I was 19 (a females prime age) I would be in the shape that I desire the most, so I have 8 months and counting to do that... But my biggest goal really is to do well in my A Levels this summer (and get BCC) and get into university!

I don't know her personally but I think she seems like a lovely person, who is quite wrongly worried about her weight because she is tiny! with a totally amazing sense of style which I admire greatly.

... I like to dress up/make myself up, everyday. It makes me feel better about myself rather than walk around in sweats and no make up.

However this kinda dressing up is probably not what you had in mind :)

Dress- Mums old and adjusted, Necklace- one long row of pearl decoration from IKEA, shoes- Dolcis, crown- asda, cigarette holder- party shop.

It was my best friends 18th birthday last week and we dressed up in 50s/60s inspired costumes, can you guess who I went as? .... I hope you can otherwise I didn't do too well!

Anyway what are you guys upto this evening? I'm off to work again.

I love all these blogs i'm finding on which all the sassy ladys take pics of their hot outfits each day. These are giving me some serious inspiration... I have these hot outfits concocting in my mind however there are setbacks such as (a) i can't find exactly what i want (b) i don't have enough money to afford exactly what i want... and (c) both of these problems!

This first set of hot outfits that I adore are from BEBELICIOUS ♥:

These two outfits are fierce! I love the trousers on the left, especially with the bright yellow shoes! The outfit on the right is everything that I love, top,skirt&shoes i<3them. align="center">.

I love these gorgeous moccasin boots, i have seen a delicious pair from topshop that are pretty much identical!

I truely believe you can't go wrong with a LBD, and that is proven here. The accessories are divine! I love the leopard print tights! Big tick for the sexy heels aswell!

This sexy boho outfit is hot!!! Them sexy heels we saw in the pic before again, teamed with some skinnies and a boho embroided top! this girl is on fire!!

I love this tight black dress with the wellington boots! It's completely unconventional and you may get a few raised eyebrows walking round with wellies on in the sun, so make sure its not a 25 degrees day! But other than that who cares?!

This outfit is soooo cool because its an oversized tshirt over a flapper dress, so the fringing falls out of the bottom and looks completely rad! I love it!

Ten Top Tips for a Happy day.

I'll be back later with some summery shots that most definately put me in a happy mood, but for now enjoy the 10 tips for a happy day :)

Wake up to a good alarm tune, something that infuriates you will only make you down, so have an upbeat tune as you alarm tone.
Dress to be fabulous every second of every day. If you look fab, you'll feel it too.
In the words of CoCo Chanel: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” By all mean accessorize to the max, but then by taking that one item off you are not over done.
Smile. Its infectious incase you hadn't noticed before now. Smile at the old man walking towards you in the street, when he smiles back you'll have a surprise at the feeling you recieve.
Seize the day. Consider every opportunity that is offered to you, don't just say no without thinking through the possiblities. But don't go ott like the film 'Yes Man' :P
Only worry about the things that you can change in your life. You can't change payday from the end of the month to now,but you can make some instant extra cash (or save some) by ebay-ing, cutting down on clothes shopping, and going to bars and clubs with promotions on.
Be creative. Seeing the end result of something that you have made from scratch has a glorious feeling attached to it. When you can use something that you have put your hard work into you will be pretty chuffed I tell you. Dig out your mums sewing maching, or visit The Art of Jordan for some tips and ideas on being creative.
LOVE, appreciate and admire. Call your mum and thank her for all she has done for you. Admire your best friends new clutch bag and who knows she may lend it to you. Appreciate your boyfriends soggy spaghetti because you would have starved if it wasnt for him that night. N.B remember. NEVER give to recieve.
Don't eat carbs after 5pm and don't eat at all after 8pm if you can help it. Cutting out these things will make you feel less sluggish and bloated in the evenings.
Before you go to sleep, apologise to your best friend for saying that her car is ugly, or your boyfriend for slating that soggy spahetti he made you for dinner, because if you go to sleep with a problem you'll wake up with it too the next day.

things that make me smile...

I've had a down day today, so I thought I should cheer myself up (whilst entertaining you also) with some pictures of things I love....
OH WAIT thats what this whole blog is about! haha. Well these are things that make me happy when I am down, next time your upset maybe you should try to cheer yourself up with these remedies...

(1) First and foremost, LAUGHTER. laughter is the best cure for feeling sad. Get out an old joke book, some pictures of when you were young and thought you were the bees knees or what a Chris Rock/Lee Evans sketch...

(2) Dance! Dancing is one of the funnest (and healthiest) ways of de-stressing! Stick on a tune like Beyonces- Single Ladies or the new song by the Pussycat Dolls- Jai HO!

(3) Think about your most favourite places in the world and imagine yourself there (again- if applicable). My favourite place in the world is California in the US of A. A beautiful state with some iconic landmarks, and brilliant shopping! (top pic: the Hollywood sign, bottom pic: the Santa Monica pier by sunset!)

(4) Picture your deepest clothing fantasies, if I were allowed two items of high end fashion it would definately be a pair of these devine Spicy Heels by Louis Vuitton and right now I can't decide specifically which piece (its between the centre and far right garments) from the Balmain fall 09 collection, this certainly perks me up to imagin what I would wear these delicious pieces with!
(5) Many people have the weakness of comfort eating when they are down, but hey thats why its called a weakness, your allowed to do it still (but unfortunately regarded as weak for it haha), my two food items that make me smile are good old battenburg and a crunchie bar, by classics and loved by all. ESPECIALLY MEEEE!

(6) Also when I'm down, I have to still put make up on or put on nice clothes its just something inside of me that screams: "The world is not over what if someone were to see you like this!" SO I love to dress up, and this is my favourite dress up ever (ok it was not when i was down but for my best friends birthday party) but I went as 'Audrey Hepburn', or more accurately, 'Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys starring as Holly Golightly'....

(7) This one kinda links with 6, but when I feel down i try to reinvent myself! and Nothing says that better like a brand spanking new haircut, and that is what I am doing tomorrow- going to have my hair done by my lovely hair stylist Cat.

(8) Talking of cats, seeing mine stretched out in a comfortable and comforting position makes me smile, I always take a picture of my pussycat when he does something cute or funny just so that I can remember it in future and.... :) SMILE.

So, if your not happy by now, maybe you need to sleep or something like that, I get notoriously grotty when I'm tried (or hungry come to think of it).

inspire yourself today...

I came across a brilliant blog the other day (actually through another blog Daydream Lily (check it out)) called 'The Art of Jordan' the blogger describes the blog as everything style, and quite rightly so. She has a fabuloussss mix of all types of topics, "to inspire the creative in you".

I have quickly become addicted checking the blog almost hourly!

But the post I really love is about making inspiration boards, here are my favourite inspiration boards...(i want to put it all!). enjoy....

I love the simplest idea of pinning/blue-tacking images, cinema stubbs, magazine cuttings etc.. onto the back of your bedroom door, this is especially inspiring as everytime you leave the door you can remind yourself of that simple message for the day...

This inspiration board is so much easier to add to/takeaway from, its also alot neater! And you could make your own with your own fabrics on the back and coloured elastic to match your personal space!

This final one I've chosen from the blog is the 'boards'! this idea is wonderful, I especially love the one above!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I did not get any eggs, as I'm officially off chocolate, however I asked for Fruit Pastels as a replacement haha!

Today's post was going to be a bit wish washy so I decided it would be on something completely random: Rockstar daughters. Making a name; from their parents names.

So ladies and gentlemen, I give you *drum roll* the Rockstar Daughters Awards!!

Most Annoying Rockstar daughters: Goes to... Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof (born 16 March 1986) and younger sister Little Pixie Geldof (born 17 September 1990), the two are the daughters of rock legend Sir Bob Geldof.

Both have insisted on forging careers as socialites. I can't decide which one is worse...

Most confused-about-whose-the-daddy Rockstar daughter:

Goes to... the beautiful, graceful Liv Tyler (born July 1, 1977), the Armageddon beauty grew up thinking that her mother's (Bebe Buell) then husband Tood Rundgren was actually her father, until discovering the truth at the age of 9, that her biological father was in fact Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler.

Liv and her real daddy now share a close bond.

Rockstar daughter with the most 'issues':Goes to... the fabulous Nicole Richie. I have watched some great films recently...

The first is light hearted comedy that I watched this morning, starring Doris Day; who my mum loves.

The movie is called 'Do not disturb' and it follows a young married couple who move to England for America, the wife (played by Day) is suspicious that her husband is having an affair.

Made in 1965, it was amazing to look at the recycling of the fashions.

The second film I watched was 'The Shawshank Redemptiom'. And I pretty much have no words to describe how it made me feel. I had a copy of the dvd for about a year and never wanted to watch it as I had been told it was a devestating story. I can assure you, it was far from it. The story was beautiful and revolved around hope and fear. Made in 1994 it had been voted the top film in IMDB's top 250 films ever.

Now for my favourite movie of all time....

It is of course the 1961 classic 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' starring the fabulous Audrey Hepburn. I believe she is so iconic because of the pure class that every pore of her body oozed. To put it simply. This classic film is also another that the fashions are very apparent and similar to today's revived styles.
